Our Team

Adam is a University of Michigan and Georgetown University Law Center graduate. Though part of a family with a deep rooted local real estate development and construction history, his twelve years in the technology and venture capital sectors enabled Adam to develop an expertise in process development and fiscal transparency that have been much needed in the residential construction industry. Adam was a partner with Sandy Spring Builders for eight years. While with the company, Adam’s team completed over a hundred projects, spanning from renovations to new homes, historic properties to cutting-edge modern, from downtown DC to the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Adam founded Chesapeake Custom Homes & Development to allow him to continue to utilize his business process and residential construction experience but to do so in a model that best facilitates focus and fostering a strong relationship with his clients.

“I love having a close relationship with my clients and the ability to be fully involved in the process. Having too many custom projects going on at one time makes this impossible. The fun and predictability become stress and damage control. We founded Chesapeake as our outlet for providing the highest quality craftsmanship in a transparent, non-stressful manner. The bonus is that we get to truly love our work!”

Adam S. Goozh

Mel has been in the real estate and construction industry for over twenty years. In senior management roles with Georgetown Development and, most recently, Sandy Spring Builders, Mel oversaw the construction hundreds of custom new homes and renovations. This experience coupled with his years of experience on the lending and real estate sales side of the sector enable Mel to bring a truly complete understanding of land value and construction to the Chesapeake clientele. This breadth of understanding and Mel’s obsessive focus on projects staying on schedule and on budget are an immeasurable value.
